More than 100 people recently visited Old Palm Golf Club to tour four of our most magnificent estates and enjoy a phenomenal afternoon tea at the Club. But there was more to their visit than just socializing. The exclusive House Tour and Tea event sponsored by STOP! Children's Cancer of Palm Beach County, an organization deeply committed to the prevention, control and cure of cancer in children was a fundraiser for the charity. It was a win-win all around. The group had the opportunity to tour a collection of four extraordinary residences in our Grand Estates and Custom Estates neighborhoods and proceeds were donated to the charity to help stop childrenâs cancer. The first home, known as the Platinum Palette, is a spectacular private estate that earned the American Society of Interior Designers 2010 Award of Excellence. Its transitional interiors were created by Lorraine Rogers Bolton of Rogers Design Group, who attended the event. Then there was the Ashford, an exceptional model home that beautifully expresses the Florida lifestyle by seamlessly blending the indoor and outdoor areas. The Decorators Unlimited designed its interiors and the look is classic Palm Beach. The Ashford was built by Hasey Construction, as was the spacious Castillo II, whose open floor plan encourages entertaining. Its warm, timeless atmosphere results from a wonderful integration of natural materials and fibers, including linen, silk and leather. The fourth and largest home was Casa Palermo, a masterpiece of craftsmanship exquisitely detailed in a Mediterranean style. Built by Pinetree Homes, its charms include dramatic exposed beams, hand-carved Italian marble columns and arched groin-vault ceilings. After the tour, the attendees gathered at the Club to enjoy an array of teas, to rave about the homes, and most important to support STOP! Children's Cancer of Palm Beach County.
