Hole-in-one highlights ladies golf outing

April 04, 2012

The Ladies from Old Palm Golf Club spent a recent morning playing the spectacular Palm Beach Par 3 Golf Course. The oceanside course actually has a lot in common with the Old Palm golf course, including its immaculate condition, drought-resistant Paspalum grass and connection with Hall of Fame golfer Raymond Floyd. Floyd designed our course and redesigned the Par 3 course in 2009, which Golf Digest Magazine has described as “The Best Par 3 in the United States.” Still, as beautiful as the layout is, it didn’t break the concentration of Old Palm member Liz Litowitz, who scored a hole-in-one on the challenging 7th hole. After the golf outing, the ladies enjoyed lunch at the private club at Mar-a-Lago, the former Marjorie Merriweather Post estate now owned by Donald Trump. The property is a National Historic Landmark, and the Club is renowned for its coveted Six Star Diamond Award. As expected, the lunch was a fantastic ending to a memorable day.
