Now that Old Palmâs group fitness classes have resumed, there are even more ways for our members to get into shape. One of the seasonâs most popular offerings is the new Barre Sculpt class, which meets in the fitness center on Wednesdays at 9 a.m. The total-body, no-impact workouts are excellent for sculpting a lean physique, increasing stamina, and pumping up cardiovascular endurance. Members use the ballet barre for support as they exercise, usually in small isometric movements. Results can come quickly. Because all of the muscle groups are targeted, the entire body becomes more toned and defined. Other benefits include improved posture, increased flexibility and better balance.
