“We expected 2014 to be a huge success,” says Connie McGinnis, Director of Sales at Old Palm Golf Club, “but we had no idea that sales for 2014 would be absolutely off the charts.” A staggering 52 estate properties sold for more than $129 million. Interest was high in all four neighborhoods, a confirmation that Old Palm offers homebuyers an unparalleled variety of luxurious home designs and home sites. In the Golf Estates, where homes range from 3,400 to 5,000 square feet, Mustapick Estate Homes and Courchene Development Corporation both sold an impressive number of new homes and are constructing others to meet the demand. Mustapick recently completed its four-bedroom Monaco model, which features a traditional floor plan with a separate living room, family room and dining room. Mustapick also has two models under construction, both on home sites overlooking a wooded preserve for the ultimate in privacy: the popular three-bedroom Marseilles and their new Magens Bay, an intriguing combination of the Monaco and Marseilles floor plans because it features a great room, a club room and a fourth bedroom. Courchene is offering three models in the Golf Estates neighborhood. The three-bedroom Poinciana II features a large great room and soaring ceilings and is on a preserve home site, as is the four-bedroom Carlisle model. The builder has also started construction on a new Royal Poinciana model, which has four bedrooms, a great room and overlooks the golf course. Sales were also impressive in Old Palm’s new Isle Estates neighborhood, where the homes are distinguished by beautiful coastal architecture and square footage between 4,300 and 6,800. Hasey sold both its Belize and Bonair models and has plans to build another Bonair model on a one-third acre home site. In addition, Hasey has begun designing a model called the Bermuda. Like every residence in the neighborhood, it will reflect the coastal architecture that has so captivated homebuyers. Although the exact design or pricing hasn’t been finalized, the four-bedroom Bermuda will be one story, a departure from Hasey’s other models in the Isle Estates, which are two stories and somewhat larger. Courchene also has three models in the Isle Estates and is designing other homes. The company is about to break ground on a newly purchased St. James, which will mirror the fully furnished St. James located nearby. Although Courchene sold its magnificent Hamilton model in the first week of 2015, the company is designing two custom coastal-style homes for buyers and yet another new model called the Coquina. With 4,619-square-foot-under-air, the Coquina is the first model in the Isle Estates under 5,000 square feet. In 2014, Courchene sold five of its highly popular Bentley models in the Grand Estates, where homes range from 4,800 to 7,000 square feet, and now has another one under construction. Courchene also has two other models near completion—the four-bedroom Savoy and the five-bedroom Viceroy. Hasey also dominated sales in the Grand Estates in 2014, so much so that Hasey is now offering three different models there. The smallest is the 5,138-square-foot-under-air Windsor. Then, there’s the four-bedroom 5,665-square-foot-under-air Castillo II, and the Wedgewood, a brand new two-story model offering nearly 7000 square feet of living space. Sales in the Custom Estates neighborhood were also robust in 2014. The luxury homes in this neighborhood range in size from 7,000 to 15,000 square feet, and offer homebuyers complete freedom of design, especially considering that the home sites are one acre. Last year, Dreamstar Custom Homes sold its custom-designed Laurencia and Couture Homes sold its one-of-a-kind Prima, a classically proportioned Italian-style villa. Couture Homes also has plans to build another custom home that will overlook the golf course. Casto Homes is also designing a new home in the neighborhood. When completed, Casto’s exclusive Catalina will feature five bedrooms, six full and two half baths, a study, game room, wine cellar and exercise studio. Courchene just broke ground on its stately Regent model. The home will offer five bedrooms, six full and two half baths, a living room, family room, club room, office, exercise/flex room and five-car garage.
