She sells seashell classes

June 12, 2015

Shells 150x150 A seashell is more than a seashell in the hands of Robin Grubman. The Palm Beach native and proprietor of The Reef Boutique on Worth Avenue has been selling shell-encrusted items for years, and now Ms. Grubman is teaching a series of shell design classes. The next one is June 16 at 10:00 a.m. at the Hulitar Art Studio, which is associated with the Society of Four Arts. During this upcoming “Monogram Letter” class, Grubman will show students how to decorate an initial letter with shells and ribbons. Think surfside chic meets Palm Beach Preppy. Using the same techniques, students can then apply their newly acquired shell design talents to other items, including mirrors, frames, purses and seaside-inspired objects. To learn more about this class or Grubman’s “Surfside Totes” class (July 16) or “Back to School Memories” class (August 26), call 561-805-8562 or email campus@fourarts.org Classes cost $75 (materials included) and space is limited.
