Norton museum of art 1 150x150

The Norton Museum of Art’s popular series Art After Dark is ramping up for the season. Billed as “Where Culture and Entertainment Meet!” the weekly program presents a diversity of arts such as dance, film and art activities, as well as lectures, conversations with curators and wine tastings. The programs are held every Thursday and usually relate to the Norton’s permanent collection, special exhibitions and significant historical or cultural dates. For instance, the first program in October presents a tour of the Treasures of China exhibit, a live Chinese zither performance, a video on Chinese Buddhist temples, and a curator’s talk on Chinese art. The following week is College Night with free admission for college students. Later in the month, programs concentrate on the “Many Faces of Israel” and “Hispanic Heritage Night.” The various programs run from 5pm to 9pm, so be sure to contact the Norton for the exact time of the event you wish to attend. The museum is located at 1451 S. Olive Avenue, West Palm Beach. 561-832-5196. www.Norton.org
