With over a hundred public and private golf courses, Palm Beach County has the most courses of any other county in America. With the help of famous course designers and an average annual temperature of 75 degrees, it’s easy to see why the county is known as Florida’s Golf Capital. Golf enthusiasts don’t have to settle with simply visiting these challenging golf courses, they can have it in their own back yard at Old Palm Golf Club. Our private club community boasts a Raymond Floyd designed golf course which offers one of the best golf experiences in the Palm Beaches. Living in the Palm Beach Gardens area also makes it easy to take part in other Palm Beach golf attractions that justify the impressive title.

Premier PGA Tournaments

There are two PGA tours that make stops in Florida’s Golf Capital during the month of February. Old Palm residents don’t have to depend on television broadcasts to enjoy these events, since these two prestigious tournaments are nearby and easily accessible to watch in person, and they include many opportunities to mingle with golfing professionals as well.

  • The Honda Classic

This premier annual event on the PGA Tour brings some the best players from around the world to the Championship Course at the PGA National Resort & Spa in Palm Beach Gardens, making it one of the most exciting Palm Beach golf attractions. Great names like Tiger Woods, Charl Schwartzel, Louis Oosthuizen, Rickie Fowler, Lee Westwood, and Rory McIlroy to name a few have participated in this prestigious tournament. With Pro-Am rounds, Junior Clinics, autograph sessions, live music, and fireworks, the week-long event is great fun for the whole family.

  • Allianz Championship

Held in the acclaimed Broken Sound Golf Club in Boca Raton, this annual event is a part of the PGA Champions Tour. Legendary senior players and former champions, like Fuzzy Moeller, Nick Price, Hale Irwin, and Corey Pavin, have come to Palm Beach County to participate in this popular tournament. Spectators even have the chance to play side-by-side with golf icons by signing up for the Pro-Am experience.
