In the article titled âAll Together Now!â by Marina Brown, issue #3-volume 21 of Florida Design magazine, a retired South Florida businessman describes why he and his wife chose Old Palm Golf Club, after deciding to leave their home on the Gulf of Mexico to move inland. âIâm a golfer,â the owner says. âAnd this is the first time in 40 years Iâll be off the water!â The owners wanted a home that reflected the styles they saw in their travels around the world, from Jerusalem to Bali, as well as Aspen, where their second home is located. The couple purchased a spectacular one-acre lot in the Custom Estates neighborhood, situated on the 13th hole of Old Palm Golf Club and they were able to work with the builder individually in order to design the home of their dreams. In another article titled âGoing Platinum,â also found in the same issue of Florida Design, Marina writes about another couple in the Custom Estates neighborhood, Andrea and Ken Brodlieb, who moved to Old Palm Golf Club three years ago from Millnick, New York. Andrea is a self-described âpeople personâ who loves to host parties, and she wanted a home that would be able to seamlessly transition from âa place to cook and relax or a place to elegantly entertain.â She and her husband purchased a lakefront, one-acre lot with a view of the Raymond Floyd-designed golf course as well as beautiful natural landscape, and worked with the builder to incorporate their love of entertaining with the comforts of day-to-day living.
