Legendary golfer Raymond Floyd has shot countless rounds on the championship course at Old Palm Golf Club. After all, he designed it and remains the Honorary Club Chairman. But just last week, Floyd returned to Old Palm to shoot something entirely differentâa series of instructional golf shows that will air in early December on The Golf Channel. A crew of more than a dozen filmed Floydâs segments at the Golf Studio at Old Palm, a separate practice facility with three full-length golf holes that perfectly complement the 18-hole championship layout. âItâs an amazing facility,â says Golf Channel Coordinating Producer Kevin Schultz, who has filmed at Americaâs top private golf clubs. The winner of four PGA majors and 22 tour victories, Floyd offered easy-to-follow tips on the key aspects of the game, from driving to putting to bunker shots. Floyd also demonstrated his flawless chipping techniques, showing why heâs considered a master of the short game. Meticulously manicured and landscaped with native Florida plants, Old Palm provided a beautiful backdrop for the filming. To watch the shows, tune into the Golf Channel on Monday, Dec. 12 (8PM), Tuesday, Dec. 13 (7PM), Thursday, Dec. 15 (7PM), and Sunday, Dec. 18 (7PM and 7:30PM). See more photos on Facebook.
