Old Palm Golf Club recently hosted an elegant cocktail reception for the Palm Beach State College Foundation Board of Directors and the District Board of Trustees. The much-anticipated annual event, called âEvening in the Garden,â honors the many donors that have generously supported Palm Beach State College by helping to provide funding for scholarships, new academic programs and capital improvements.
Nearly 75 guests attended the reception, which this year was held in the spectacular Bella Vita model home in Old Palmâs Custom Estates neighborhood. While enjoying cocktails, hors dâoeuvres and live music, they toured the 9,845-square-foot Mediterranean-style home, which sits majestically on a one-acre estate home site overlooking the 14
th green of our Raymond Floyd-designed golf course.
The Bella Vita is a remarkable 6-bedroom estate that exudes elegance and comfort. Grand twin staircases with Old World wrought-iron balustrades grace the foyer. Majestic fireplaces are at the heart of many of the rooms. And lustrous wooden coffered ceilings and accents add drama and emotional warmth. The setting was perfect for the cocktail reception, and if this yearâs event is anything like last yearâs, one of the attendees may soon live at Old Palm.
