Old Palm members revved up for nearby Honda Classic

The honda classic logo The Honda Classic is always a hot ticket, and this year it’s even hotter because many of the world’s best golfers have committed to play. Old Palm resident and reigning Masters champion Charl Schwartzel will join the likes of Tiger Woods at the Honda Classic, so you can be sure that plenty of Old Palm Golf Club members will be there. The tournament is being held down the street at PGA National Resort & Spa and runs the week of February 27 through March 4. Many of the world’s top players will be teeing it up, vying for their share of the $5.7-million purse. You can expect to see defending champion Rory Sabbatini, British Open champion Louis Oosthuizen, Ernie Els, Rory McIlroy, Lee Westwood, Vijay Singh, Justin Leonard, Kenny Perry, Padraig Harrington and dozens of other top golfers. Many of them will also be playing in Pro-Ams during the week, with past and present members of the Miami Dolphins and Grammy-winning saxophonist Kenny G.
