Easter and Passover at Old Palm filled with activities

April 12, 2012

Spring is always a busy time of the year, but even more so this year as the dates for Easter and Passover fell on the same weekend. As always, there were plenty of celebrations and activities at Old Palm Golf Club, the premier private Club community in the Palm Beaches. Starting Friday evening, there was a Seder dinner in the Club with traditional dishes that included brisket, gefilte fish, latke, matzo stuffing and charoset. Saturday was all about entertainment as the Club put a big screen out on the lawn for Family Movie Night featuring Hop, a tender story everyone enjoyed along with an informal dinner of grilled burgers and chicken, pasta and fish tacos, and ice cream sundae bar. The festivities continued on Easter Sunday with a sumptuous 3-hour brunch in the Club. Every dish imaginable was available from the hot and cold buffets, omelet station, carving station, and pancake station. During brunch, two Easter egg hunts were in full swing on the lawn—one for kids five and under, another for older kids, petting zoo with baby bunnies and chicks pet and an giant Easter Bunny to get plenty of pictures of the kids with. “At Old Palm we love to celebrate all of the holidays from New Years Day to Mothers Day,  and all those in between says General Manager Darlene Impellittiere”  “If you enjoy being active with a friendly fun-loving group, Old Palm is definitely the place to be.”
