Old Palm Golf Club recently added another dimension to its collection of spectacular homes with the opening of Prima, the newest model from Couture Homes. Nearly 200 Old Palm residents and guests toured the magnificent home during the debut party, which culminated with a fashion show launching the Resort 2013 Collection from Salvatore Ferragamo.
âPrima is a unique residence,â says Connie McGinnis, Director of Sales at Old Palm, âand exemplifies the unparalleled selection of residences available in our community. The party not only celebrated Primaâs opening, but also made a statement about the Old Palm lifestyle.â
The setting was ideal, as Prima is an Italian-style villa and Ferragamo is one of Italyâs most fabled design houses. Classically proportioned, Prima encompasses 7,800 square feet under air offering six bedrooms, six full and two half baths and a four car garage. The home flows naturally from room to room and from indoors to outdoors. The majority of the home opens onto the center courtyard.
The very heart and soul of the home, the courtyard is an oasis for entertaining and relaxing. At its center, a lap pool runs perpendicular to the swimming pool, with a whirlpool spa at the intersection. Several arbors lend dappled shade and texture. A fire pit separates the summer kitchen from an open patio, which is beautifully furnished to invite conversation. A private guest house overlooks the courtyard.
The openness seamlessly carries through Primaâs furnished interior, particularly in the main living area, which is one elongated space that encompasses the Valcucine-designed kitchen, a dining room that seats 12 people, a living room, and a family room.
That same scale and sophistication extends into the bedrooms and baths. The Master Suite is a study in serenity, complemented by muted hues and an indulgent sunken tub in the Master Bath, which opens to a private outdoor courtyard with its own yoga pavilion.
Even the landscaping on Primaâs generous one-acre home site in Old Palmâs Custom Estates reflects Coutureâs attention to detail. For instance, many of the trees are individually lighted, giving them a sculptural quality at night. Itâs an atmosphere perfectly suited for entertaining, which made the Ferragamo fashion show at Prima even more dramatic and memorable.
The models wore the Resort 2013 Collection designed by Massimiliano Giornetti, Creative Director for Ferragamo, and used the perimeter of the swimming pools as their catwalk. The collection had only been seen once beforeâat an exclusive show in Paris at the Louvre.
The Resort 2013 Collection combines a warm palette of delicate neutral hues with cooler tones. Pieces include an oversized knit that interweaves nappa and snakeskin, ultra-flat soft suede boots featuring studded embroidery, 3-D crochet dresses and ultra-soft leather T-shirts. The collection is exclusive to specialty Ferragamo boutiques including The Gardens Mall location, just a few miles from Old Palm.
