Old Palm Golf Club recently hosted a Sponsors Reception for the Executive Women of the Palm Beaches to recognize the recipients of its prestigious Women in Leadership Awards. More than 150 of the Palm Beaches’ most influential women attended the elegant event, which marked the organization’s 30th year passionately supporting and advancing women in business and community leadership. The indefatigable Lilly Ledbetter, who successfully lobbied Congress to enact a law ensuring equal pay for equal work, was the evening’s keynote speaker. She was inspirational, as was the setting— the Royalton model in Old Palm’s Grand Estates neighborhood. While enjoying cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and lively conversation, the women meandered about, taking in the beautifully appointed 6,855-square-foot residence. Built by Courchene Development Corporation, the Royalton features five bedrooms, five full and two half baths, a den, game room and loft, so it easily accommodated the festivities. It was an honor for Old Palm to sponsor the event, and we congratulate the 2013 Women in Leadership Award recipients—Public Sector, Anne M. Gannon; Private Sector, Jane Kreusler-Walsh; Volunteer Sector, Michele Poole.
