Being ideally located in Palm Beach Gardens, Old Palm is close to a variety of Palm Beach County’s finest entertainment venues. None is more spectacular than the Kravis Center. On July 12, tickets for all six “Kravis On Broadway” shows will go on sale, affording Old Palm’s residents an opportunity to purchase the best seats. The performances start in late November and run through early May, so the timing couldn’t be better because this is the height of Old Palm’s season and the majority of our residents will be in town. The six shows are: “Radio City Christmas Spectacular, Starring the Rockettes.” This is the first time the family holiday show has come to the Kravis Center. November 29-December 8. “The Gershwins’ Porgy and Bess.” Winner of the 2012 Tony Award for Best Revival of a Musical,” it includes legendary songs like “Summertime” and “I Got Plenty of Nothing.” January 7-12. “War Horse.” Winner of five 2011 Tony Awards, this show is phenomenally inventive and uses life-sized horse puppets that “breathe,” gallop and charge with men on their backs. February 12-16. “Sister Act.” This musical comedy smash, which The New York Post described as “ridiculously fun,” features music by 8-time Oscar winner Alan Menken. March 4-9. “Evita” The fascinating and tragic story of how Eva Perón used her beauty and charisma to rise meteorically from Argentina’s slums to the presidential mansion. April 8-13. “Million Dollar Quartet.” A show inspired by the true story of the famed recording session that united Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins. April 29-May 4.
