Apparently, there is no off-season at Old Palm Golf Club, where sales continue at a blistering pace well into the typically slower summer. In the first six months of the year, 29 properties totaling nearly $60 million have been sold, and there are no signs of the buying frenzy letting up in Old Palm, the premier private Club community in the Palm Beaches. “Sales are truly off the charts,” says Connie McGinnis, Director of Sales, “and the traffic in our sales office continues to be strong. It is exciting to see homebuyers’ enthusiasm for both new residences and resales at Old Palm; everything is in place for another phenomenal, record-setting year.” There is an outstanding selection of models ready for move-in, other residences are under construction in all three neighborhoods, and home sites with views of the Raymond Floyd-designed golf course, serene lakes, wooded preserves or private water features are available. Add the onsite brokerage solely dedicated to Old Palm and a seasoned sales team that thoroughly knows the community, and it’s no wonder that Old Palm is so successful. Activity is high in all of the neighborhoods. In the Golf Estates, where homes range from 3,400 to 5,000 square feet, the Poinciana II from Courchene Development Corporation has recently been completed. The 3,485-square-foot home features a traditional split floor plan with three bedrooms, three full and one half bath, a library and a spacious great room that opens onto a covered loggia. Remarkable for its seamless flow between the indoors and outdoors, the Poinciana II can be built on a preserve home site starting at $1,320,000. Courchene is also offering the Carlisle, a brand-new 4,062-square-foot model with an exceptionally open floor plan and high ceilings, which lend it a light, airy ambiance. Being one of the first four-bedroom designs with a spacious Great Room in the Golf Estates, the home is generating plenty of interest. While this particular Carlisle is being constructed on a quarter-acre home site with a private water feature, it can be built on a preserve home site starting at $1,469,000. Mustapick Estate Homes is also offering two residences in the Golf Estates that have proven to be extremely popular. The larger home is the magnificent Monaco, a 4,055-square-foot residence with four bedrooms, four full and one half bath, a club room, living room and family room. This is the third Monaco that Mustapick has constructed in the neighborhood, the first two selling almost as quickly as they became available. The Monaco starts at $1,476,000 on a preserve home site. Just a few doors down on the same cul-de-sac is Mustapick’s outstanding 3,855-square-foot Marseilles. Like the Monaco, it feels wonderfully spacious. The design flows naturally, lending a certain seamlessness to the layout, which features three bedrooms, three full and one half bath, a den and great room that opens on to a covered loggia. Beyond are the swimming pool and a private water feature. The Marseilles is priced from $1,458,000. “The tremendous diversity in designs, dimensions and features isn’t restricted to the Golf Estates,” adds McGinnis. “It’s a constant in each of our neighborhoods, giving homebuyers a variety of choices, which they can then customize if the home is still under construction.” The Grand Estates neighborhood in Old Palm offers four beautiful models on half-acre home sites, the largest being Courchene’s versatile 6,855-square-foot Royalton. It’s ideal for empty nesters that want separate areas for their children or grandchildren when they visit. It’s also well suited for young families that may prefer their children’s bedrooms to be on the second floor, separate from the Master Suite on the first floor. Another highlight is the single roof beam that appears to run the entire length of the kitchen, family room and patio, which adds harmony and seamlessly unites the indoors and outdoors. The Royalton can be built from $2,695,000. One street over on Calleta Court, Hasey Construction is building three vastly different models. For buyers seeking a single-story residence, there’s the Castillo II. It features a traditional, split floor plan of 5,665 square feet with four bedrooms, five full baths, two half baths, a den and a game room. The floor plan encourages entertaining, especially in the heart of the home where the kitchen opens onto the family room. Pricing for the Castillo II starts at $2,395,000 when built on a standard water feature home site. Hasey has just begun construction on the Ashford, and it’s sure to capture the attention of homebuyers as several of these models have already sold. The Ashford has a split floor plan, with the addition of a partial second floor over the center of the home that can be reached by stairs or elevator. The magnificent, 6,495-square-foot layout boasts five bedrooms, six full and two half baths, a loft and a club room. The pool will lie directly behind the living room, affording a clear view of the subtropical landscaping, open cabana and lake beyond. The Ashford can be built from $2,750,000. For buyers seeking an even larger model, Hasey’s extraordinary Antigua on the adjacent home site more than satisfies in every respect. It sprawls over 6,719 square feet to accommodate its five bedrooms, six full and two half baths, den, loft and game room. The two-story Antigua is available from $3,650,000 on a golf course view home site. Then, there’s the Custom Estates neighborhood in Old Palm, another hive of activity where owners can build residences that are truly one-of-a-kind. The Prima is a perfect example. Built by Couture Homes, the classically proportioned Italian-style villa flows over 7,800 square feet. It features six bedrooms, six full and two half baths, a Valcucine-designed kitchen, and a center courtyard that serves as the home’s very heart and soul. There is even a private outdoor courtyard with its own yoga pavilion off the Master Suite. The Prima is available for $5.8 million furnished. As another expression of the freedom of design afforded by the one-acre home sites in the Custom Estates, Couture Homes is building a brand-new model known as the Avanti. Overlooking the preserve for the ultimate in privacy, the 7,317-square-foot residence offers five bedrooms, six full and two half baths, library and home theater. It is priced at $3,950,000. “Buyers in the Custom Estates relish the idea of having a full acre to design around,” says McGinnis. “It sparks their creativity, encourages them to explore every possibility, and allows them to build a one-of-a-kind residence that perfectly reflects their lifestyle.”
