The mood was light, the smiles big, and the more than 250 brokers in attendance couldn’t have been more excited. The event was the recent opening of four new models in Isle Estates, the first new neighborhood to open in Old Palm Golf Club since its inception. “Everyone had a terrific time,” says Connie McGinnis, Director of Sales. “The evening was cool and breezy, there was plenty of entertainment and the models looked spectacular. The brokers saw firsthand just how fresh and original the neighborhood’s coastal architecture is.” As the brokers approached Hasey Construction’s two-story Bonair model, they were greeted with live island music and offered a tropical drink. Inside, they found the 5,275-square-foot under air Bonair wonderfully informal and spacious with a natural flow between the indoors and outdoors. The Bonair offers four bedrooms, five full and two half baths in a traditional great room layout with a club room, theatre and upstairs lounge accessible by stairs or elevator. The lounge opens onto a rear terrace that takes full advantage of the panoramic views. The Decorators Unlimited created the interiors using mostly contrasting earthen tones, although the colors upstairs are more whimsical and include splashes of blues and greens. The Bonair is priced starting at $2,325,000. Next door, the brokers had the chance to try to win a prize on a putt-putt hole before entering the Hamilton, which looks like it was lifted straight out of Bermuda. Courchene Development Corporation built the 5,080-square-foot under air model with four bedrooms, five full and one half bath, a great room and club room, and a three-car garage. Insignia Design Group created the inspiring interiors using a palette of pale blues and whites, colors long associated with Bermuda. Highlights include a large VIP guest room with a grand double-door entry, and high-gloss turquoise-lacquered shelving in the club room. The Hamilton is priced from $2,250,000. Upon entering the Belize, another two-story Hasey Construction model, most brokers began their praise right in the living room, which features a handsome fireplace and a walk-in glass-fronted wine cellar that occupies one entire wall. The 5,540-square-foot under air model boasts five bedrooms, six full and two half baths, a living room, family room, club room and upstairs lounge in a more traditional layout. Rogers Design Group created the interiors of the Belize in beautifully complementary shades of brown and cream. Still, there are tonal surprises, especially upstairs where accent colors tend to be brighter. For instance, the wallpaper in one of the guest bathrooms is an appealing fuchsia. The Belize is available starting at $2,325,000. A palm reader outside of the St. James model mesmerized many of the brokers with the accuracy of her readings, which often started with “your clients will love living here.” The St. Jamesis Courchene’s larger model with 5,129 square feet under air and is available starting at $2,260,000. It offers four bedrooms, five full and two half baths, and a separate club room toward the front of the home, away from the spacious living room and family room. Like the Hamilton, it features an abundance of floor-to-ceiling windows. From the family room, brokers enjoyed a magnificent view of the covered lanai, the lake and the 11th green of Old Palm’s spectacular Raymond Floyd-designed golf course. Many of them wandered out to the tee where Bud Taylor, Old Palm Director of Golf, was holding a closest-to-the-pin contest. Further down the tee, brokers tried their hand at another closest to the pin contest —this one with a bazooka-like air gun that launches golf balls as far as 350 yards!
