Known for exquisite homes and a spectacular Raymond Floyd-designed golf course, Old Palm is without a doubt the premier private Club community in the Palm Beaches. Nowhere is its charmed lifestyle more evident than in the Club, the heart and soul of Old Palm. The Club’s timeless architecture and inviting interior reflect the warmth and intimacy of a private estate. It’s a setting that encourages Old Palm’s members to engage in conversations and join in the nonstop activities. “Communities this exclusive and private are rarely so friendly and full of life,” says Darlene Impellittiere, General Manager. “The Club offers so many exceptional amenities and different activities that members can always find something extraordinary to do. They get caught up in the excitement and their enthusiasm carries over into every aspect of Club life.” During the day, members may be found indulging in spa treatments such as stress-relieving massages, aromatherapy body wraps and exuberant mineral scrubs for women and men. There is a remarkably complete fitness center with advanced equipment for working out and classes ranging from Pilates to Zumba to muscle-toning ballet barre. Personal trainers are on hand to help members with everything from body sculpting to improving their golf games. Outside, members can relax poolside under the shade of Medjool date palms or in private cabanas. The swimming pool is heated so it’s refreshing and inviting year-round. To add to the carefree atmosphere, the concierge’s service team is always nearby with cool drinks and fluffy towels. This thread of impeccable, genuinely caring service follows members throughout the Club, but especially in the dining venues. Jason Soule, the new Executive Chef, has also added his personal touch to the menus to reflect seasonal ingredients and culinary trends. He has kept the members’ favorite dishes, enhanced others and introduced new dishes. The dining options extend into other areas, as well. Members are welcome to host parties in the private wine room and dine in the grill rooms in the Men’s and Ladies Lounges. Anything on the menu can also be delivered, if members prefer to enjoy their meals at home. “The connection between the Club and our members’ homes is seamless,” explains Impellittiere. “Members are so comfortable in the Club that they see it as an extension of their homes. They can be themselves here, which is why they eagerly join in the activities.” The activities are always fun and run the gamut from festive parties to elegant luncheons to rousing Pub Nights for adults with diversions for children on the adjacent event lawn. In the past few months alone, the Club has hosted a Super Bowl Party, Valentine’s Day dinner, Ladies Book Club meeting and Gentlemen’s Cigar Dinner. Upcoming events include a Yappy Hour Dinner for the family canine, a Country-Western Theme Night Dinner Dance, and Family Movie Night. That’s the beauty of the social scene at Old Palm—whatever your interest, passion or age, there’s an activity ideally suited to it. The Club’s activities and privileges even reach beyond the gates of Old Palm. Members recently spent a night at the opera at the nearby Kravis Center, and they always have complete access to the abundant amenities at the Palm Beach Marriott Singer Island Beach Resort & Spa.
