Old Palm Golf Club recently celebrated the 1950s with a fun-filled “Grease”-themed golf tournament. The night before the event, more than 40 members in classic ‘50s outfits showed up for the pairings party at the Club. Many of the men wore their hair slicked back, greaser-style. Women wore poodle skirts, and a few of them even dressed like Olivia Newton John, who played the lead in the 1978 movie “Grease.” Over cocktails and dinner, names were drawn out of a hat for the golf pairings. The following morning, the good times continued as the scramble-format tournament began.
