Old Palm resident and member Lee Westwood ended the 2014 Masters in sole possession of seventh place at one-under par. Only seven players finished in red numbers, so once again Westwood distinguished himself in the tournament, as the Masters only invites a field of the worldâs best golfers. He played consistently, shooting between 70 and 73 all four days. In fact, Westwood usually plays well in the Masters. He finished second in 2010, third in 2012, and in the Top 10 four of the last five years. On the Wednesday before the Masters, Westwood played in the tournamentâs traditional Par 3 Contest and tweeted in his usual good humor, âBest score ever in the Par 3 today. Must have been my caddie. And he only stood on my ball marker once!â
