Old Palm Golf Club is the premier private Club community in the Palm Beaches. One of the key words in that sentence is âprivateâ because we go above and beyond to ensure the privacy of our members and residents. Much of the credit goes to Old Palmâs highly accommodating security personnel, known as privacy officers, who are on hand around the clock. The team is made up of 18 dedicated officers, who work in three 8-hour shifts, making sure that life within the gates of Old Palm remains carefree and enjoyable. They can often be seen driving around the community in specially equipped vehicles, patrolling of the public areas and individual neighborhoods night and day. They also perform all kinds of courtesies. The officers alert residents if they have inadvertently left a garage door or car window open and perform routine property checks while residents are out of town. All of them are highly trained and first-responder certified in CPR and AED (Automated External Defibrillators), so they can also skillfully assist in case of a medical emergency. âWe often customize our services to the residentsâ needs,â explains Brian Barca, Director of Privacy, a 20-year veteran in law enforcement and security. âWe might hold mail at the front gate and personally deliver it to the home, or restrict visitors to an individualâs home during certain hours, if thatâs what the resident requests. Itâs all a matter of preferences. We respect our residentsâ privacy and ensure it to the highest degree.â The influence of the officers starts right at the main gate, as they greet non-residents with a sincere smile and a friendly, âHello, welcome to Old Palm.â Then, after verifying that the guest is expected, the officer instantly calls the resident to let them know their guest has just arrived and is heading to their residence. If the guest is heading to the Club, Privacy radios the Old Palm team members to announce the guestâs arrival. That way, they will be ready and waiting to warmly welcome the guest for a round of golf on Old Palmâs spectacular Raymond Floyd-designed golf course or perhaps to attend a social event at the Club. The residents may not always notice the officers at Old Palm, but thereâs great peace of mind in knowing that theyâre always on the premises, ensuring their privacy. Â
