Halloween is so much fun at Old Palm Golf Club that the celebration will continue over several days. There are activities planned for the whole family, so many that it should be easy to scare up a big crowd. Here are some of the more fang-tastic activities for our members: Pumpkin Carving. Carve the pumpkin of your dreams or nightmares. Make a traditional jaggedly tooth jack-o’-lantern with a triangle nose, carve a frightening monster’s face or get creative and cut an intricate icon like a spider’s web into the front of your pumpkin. The pumpkins and crafts will be supplied. Sunday, October 26,2:30 PM - 4:30 PM. Pub Night. Adults are invited for a casual gathering in the Clubhouse pub. Your favorite witches brew will be ice-cold and hors d’oeuvres or finger food may well be in the shape of fingers. Denim in good taste is permitted. Wednesday, October 29, 6:00 PM-9:00 PM. Halloween. Friday, October 31. Following a pre-trick or treat buffet for kids in the Clubhouse (5:00 PM-6:30 PM), the actual treat-or-treating through Old Palm begins. For the very young, it starts at 6:00 PM. Older ghosts, ghouls and goblins are welcome to join in at 7:00 PM. Residents can indicate that they welcome trick-or-treaters by putting a complimentary ornament from the Clubhouse on their mailboxes. There will also be an a la carte dinner served in the Clubhouse from 6:00 PM-9:00 PM.
