On April 23, Old Palm Golf Club will host a third Craft Beer and Food Pairing fundraising event for the Els for Autism Foundation. The charity was conceived in 2009 after the son of professional golfer Ernie Els and his wife Liezl was diagnosed with autism. The event will be held from 6-9 pm on the event lawn adjacent to the Club at Old Palm, where nine food and drink stations will be set up. Each station will feature a dish from a local restaurant or caterer and a craft beer from Tequesta Brewing Company or Twisted Trunk Brewing Company that makes for a perfect pairing. There will also be a silent auction, wine bottle ring toss, putting contest and closest-to-the-pin contest. Additionally, shoppers will find the celebrity-coveted Stella & Dot line of jewelry, scarves, bags and wallets available for purchase. For those who can’t make the event, they can shop online now at www.stelladot.com/ts/ttk66. Proceeds from the charitable event will help fund The Els Center of Excellence, a complex that will soon serve families with autistic children. Scheduled to open this summer, the center will offer global E-learning, on-site education, a research program, medical services, and job and independent living training for adults with autism. Autism strikes one in 68 children. To join the fight against autism by attending the event, go to www.ElsForAutism/OldPalm
