Golf is synonymous with Old Palm Golf Club, and itâs no wonder. The legendary Raymond Floyd designed the spectacular golf course, the Golf Studio practice facility is unparalleled, and members can participate in special golf events all the time. For instance, during a recent weekend, members had several opportunities to join in the fun and enhance their games. As a prelude to the weekend, Titleist held a demo and club-fitting event at the Golf Studio, where members tried Titleistâs new 915 drivers, fairway woods and hybrids, as well as the new redesigned AP1 and AP2 irons. The clubs offer all sorts of benefits, including more distance, more forgiveness, and precision engineering for optimum flight and control. Over the weekend, the Old Palm Ladies and Gentlemenâs Member-Member Championship was held. Following breakfast on Saturday, the golfers hit the links and competed in a Scramble format. Sunday tee times were in the early afternoon with the format changing to Better Ball. Members had the chance to enthusiastically relive their rounds afterwards, while enjoying hors dâ oeuvres and the awards presentation. Members who didnât compete were still able to play a full round on both days, as the course was open before and after the tournament.
