Old Palm Golf Club enters summer season on a high note

May 28, 2015

Although the traditional sales season is winding as summer approaches, estate homes in Old Palm Golf Club are still selling at a rapid pace. In fact, 21 residences totaling a record $55,000,000 have sold in just the first four months of 2015. “Buyers realize the urgency to act now,” says Connie McGinnis, Director of Sales, “because available models and home sites are going fast. If somebody wants to live in Old Palm, the premier private Club community in the Palm Beaches, time is of the essence.” South Florida’s finest independent homebuilders are busy constructing new models in Old Palm’s four neighborhoods, but the residences are quickly purchased. In the Isles Estates, Old Palm’s newest neighborhood of coastal architecture, only one finished model remains. It’s the 5,129-square-foot under-air St. James by Courchene Development Corporation, a magnificent home with four bedrooms, five full and two half baths, and a separate club room away from the spacious living room and family room. The model is available starting from $2,285,530 and as shown fully furnished on a premium home site for $3,080,000. Several other models in the Isle Estates are in various stages of construction. Courchene is building its 5,080-square-foot under-air Hamilton (starting at $2,275,530) and Coquina, which has 4,619 square feet under air (starting at $2,120,530). The Coquina is ideal for homebuyers who prefer a more intimate footprint while still enjoying the carefree island ambiance that the neighborhood embodies. Hasey Construction currently has two of its popular Bonair models under construction in the Isle Estates. The 5,275-square-foot under-air Bonair offers four bedrooms, five full and two half baths in a traditional great room layout. It can be purchased starting at $2,350,630. Hasey has also broken ground on the Bermuda, a similarly sized, four-bedroom model. Robust sales have also fueled a flurry of construction in the Golf Estates, where Courchene just sold two furnished models—the Carlisle and the Poinciana II—in one day! While there are no available vacant home sites, there are two new models under construction. Courchene’s four-bedroom Royal Poinciana, which features a great room design, is going up on a beautiful preserve home site and is priced at $1,825,000. Mustapick Estate Homes is also building its popular Marseilles on a preserve home site. The design flows naturally over 3,869 square feet under air, lending a certain tranquility to the interior, which features three bedrooms, three full and one half baths, a den and great room. The Marseilles is available fully furnished at $1,949,000. In the Grand Estates, Courchene’s Savoy is the only available finished model. With 4,925 square feet under air, the Savoy features four bedrooms, five full and two half baths, a family room and a wonderfully open design. This furnished Savoy is available at $3,395,000. Other Courchene models under construction in the Grand Estates include the 5,837-square-foot under-air Bentley and the furnished 5,403-square-foot under-air Viceroy, priced at $3,310,000 and $3,650,000 respectively. Hasey has three models going up, including the Wedgewood which sprawls over 6,725 square feet under air and is priced at $3,875,000, a custom Ashford offering five bedrooms and a four-car garage, and the Windsor offering four bedrooms, five full and one half baths and priced at $2,800,000. For buyers seeking even more space, one-acre home sites are available in the Custom Estates, where custom homes range from 7,000 to more than 15,000 square feet. Of course, there is more to Old Palm than residences, as the community epitomizes “Life Well-Lived.” The Club is a welcome blend of tradition and contemporary luxuries that feels like home. Designed to mirror the intimate scale of a Palm Beach estate, the Mediterranean-style Club encourages members to mingle in its casual, pleasantly understated atmosphere. The dining venues and inspired menus are equally exquisite, yet without even a hint of stuffiness. The sense of comfort and conviviality naturally extends into the Spa, Fitness Center and Casitas adjacent to the Club, where members can house their guests in sumptuously appointed suites. Old Palm is also synonymous with golf, a tribute to the legendary Raymond Floyd who designed the spectacular golf course and its devilish 19th or bye hole. A resident of Old Palm and Honorary Club Chairman, Floyd served as Vice Captain for the U.S. team in the 2014 Ryder Cup, as well. Another major draw for golfers is Old Palm’s Golf Studio, a remarkable practice area with indoor and outdoor facilities that allows them to replicate every shot that may be encountered on the course. A game-improvement enthusiast’s dream, the Golf Studio features three practice holes, a double-ended range, V-1 equipped hitting bay with TrackMan technology, short game area and putting green. Old Palm is ideally located in the heart of Palm Beach Gardens with close proximity to a wealth of luxuries and conveniences, including members’ access to a private beach club. Additionally, Old Palm is near both Palm Beach International Airport and North County General Aviation Airport, which accommodates private aircraft. Old Palm is being developed by Clarion partners, a leading real estate investment firm with more than $25 billion in assets under management.
