Three Old Palm residents and membersâLee Westwood, Charl Schwartzel and Louis Oosthuizenâwill be playing in this weekendâs U.S. Open. All of them have finished in the Top Ten in previous U.S. Opens, and Westwood has scored particularly well over the years with five Top Five finishes in the tournament. The 2015 U.S. Open will be played at Chambers Bay in Washington State, marking the first time in history that it will be held in the Pacific Northwest. With its massive, rolling fairways, towering dunes, undulating greens and unpredictable coastal winds, the traditional links-style course is expected to thoroughly test the golfersâ skills. Upon first seeing it, Oosthuizen posted a panoramic photo of the courseâs daunting high rough on Twitter and tweeted: âThis looks like a proper golf course.â Indeed.
