Celebrating the Fourth of July is one of the most anticipated summer events at Old Palm Golf Club, and this yearâs festivities were phenomenal as usual. They began with a bang and continued well into the night.
To kick off the celebration, the annual Firecracker Open was held on Old Palmâs spectacular Raymond Floyd-designed golf course. Competition was fierce during the tournament, which followed a scramble format. It wasnât too hot when the players teed off, and it turned out to be a beautiful day for golf after a brief rain shower in the morning.
Later in the day, a buffet dinner was held at the Club, where the tables were decorated in red, white and blue. The menu was inspiring and featured Maine lobsters, Barbecued Chicken Breasts, and Montreal-Spiced Tenderloin. There were also traditional Fourth of July favorites such as hamburgers, hot dogs, Boston Baked Beans and Corn on the Cob.
As expected, there was a great turnout of Old Palm residents and guests, all of them decked out in their finest red, white and blue attire.
