
Old Palm Golf Club recently held its first-ever âThursday casual à la carte diningâ experience, and the event was a great success. As expected, the menu was inventive, the presentation extraordinary, and the food spectacular. Starters ranged from comforting Chicken Noodle Soup to Coconut-Crusted Shrimp. Various pizzas were made to order in the Clubâs brick oven with toppings such as beef tenderloin, roasted peppers and blue cheese. There were even gluten-free items. Of course, favorites such as Kobe beef burgers, turkey burgers and grilled chicken breast sandwiches were available. For members wanting a different sort of entree, the chefs also prepared mouth-watering dishes that included Herb-Roast Half Chicken, Sweet Chili-Glazed Salmon and Penne Pasta Bolognese. Members enjoyed the casual dining alternative so much that similar events will soon be announced.
