If the shoe fits...

January 11, 2016

Footjoy logo 150x150 According to FootJoy, approximately 70% of golfers wear the wrong size shoe when playing. It’s a stunning statistic because ill-fitting golf shoes can affect stability, diminish swing power, cause discomfort and even reduce the lifespan of the shoes. In an effort to help the golfers of Old Palm play to their potential, FootJoy recently held a shoe fitting at the Golf Shop. The golfers’ shoes were evaluated to see if the flex points were correct, if there was enough space at the end of the shoes, and if they were too loose during the golf swing. A 10% discount was given to golfers who purchased new FootJoy golf shoes. Golfers were also encouraged to bring in their old golf shoes for an additional $10 per pair discount. The old shoes were then donated to The First Tee of the Palm Beaches, an organization that instills life skills and character development in young people through the game of golf.
