Fall is here, and with it comes a calendar full of excitement — at least for residents of our Palm Beach Gardens golf club community. Our local area offers all of the perks of autumn, saving the cold weather and extra yard work. With so many events to choose from, determining how to spend fall days can be a challenge. Here are some of the top options to consider.
Palm Beach Zoo & Conservation Society
The Palm Beach Zoo is one of the area’s most popular attractions year-round, and two special fall events make the season the best time to visit. The first is “Brew 2 at the Zoo,” a dream come true for anyone who loves craft beer and animals. On October 13 from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., visitors can sample more than 60 craft beers from local breweries and eat delicious food from local restaurants, all while seeing the amazing wildlife. This ticketed event is only open to those 21 and older.
For a more formal dining experience, the zoo’s annual fundraiser, “Do at the Zoo,” promises tasty dishes from the area’s top restaurants, cocktails and a pleasant evening surrounded by wildlife. The event will be held on Friday, November 10 from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Oktoberfest, South Florida Style
Speaking of brews, our residents need not travel far to experience an authentic Oktoberfest celebration. Lake Worth’s “Original Oktoberfest” is held on the weekends of October 13 and October 20. Attendees can expect a wide array of German food, imported beers straight from Germany, vendors, live music, and even folk dancing performances.
Halloween Fun for the Whole Family
On Friday, October 27, Palm Beach Gardens will hold its annual Fall Festival from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Here, families can enjoy a fun night of trick-or-treating, live music and plenty of fun activities. The event kicks off at Burns Road Recreation Center, with children traveling the trail for trick-or-treating.
Of course, there is plenty of fall fun to be had right here in our Palm Beach Gardens golf club community. On October 29 we will be hosting a pumpkin carving party in the clubhouse beginning at 1 p.m. that the entire family will love. The adults-only Halloween costume party on October 28 offers music, food and great company. Rounding out our fall lineup of events is trick-or-treating on October 31 beginning at 6 p.m. Houses where children can show off their costumes for candy will be designated with a pumpkin on the mailbox.
