Our latest announcements pertain specifically to golfers at our community, including an excellent upcoming course and a new face at the Golf Studio.

AimPoint Express Coming to Old Palm

Mark SweenyMark Sweeny, founder and developer of AimPoint Golf and inventor of the AimPoint Virtual Putting Line and AimPoint Green Reading Method, will be teaching two classes at Old Palm on Friday, November 10. The world’s top green-reading system, AimPoint Green Reading is a putting solution that integrates read, speed and aim. Tour players, amateurs and juniors in more than 40 countries have turned to AimPoint to achieve lower scores. During the course, you will be guided by Sweeney, who was recently named one of the Best Teachers in Florida by Golf Digest, as you uncover the mystery that is putting and gain the confidence to conquer any putt.

Each of the two classes will be limited to a maximum of eight people, and will be open to the public beginning November 7 provided there are still slots available. Until then, sign ups are restricted to Old Palm members. The first class will be held from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., with the second class to follow from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. The cost for the highly-anticipated course is $250 per person.

In other news, the Old Palm team recently welcomed Liz Brown, who will be taking on the role of assistant golf professional. She was born in Massachusetts, where she developed a passion for golf as a junior. She then went on to play at the University of Central Florida and later professionally, now she is turning her talents to teaching.
