First on our list is the lighting of the menorah in Delray Beach. The impressive menorah is installed at Old School Square Park, and will be lit on December 12 at sundown. Another menorah lighting will take place in Jupiter at Harbourside Place on December 13. The event will take place from 4 p.m. to 6 pm., complete with a concert, children’s activities, and more.

This annual holiday event is hosted by local rock radio station GATER 98.7 right next door at the PGA Resort & Spa in Palm Beach Gardens. Jingle Bell Jog
Put on your Santa suit and do some stretching, because Delray Beach’s Jingle Bell Jog is on December 16. In addition to being dressed as the jolly holiday figure, each participant in the 5k will also be sporting jingle bells on their shoes, adding to the festive feel of the event.
Miami City Ballet’s “The Nutcracker”
For many, there is no holiday event more cherished than attending “The Nutcracker” with family or friends. Luckily, you won’t have to go far to see an outstanding performance of the famed ballet. Miami City Ballet will be performing “The Nutcracker” December 28 through December 30 at the Kravis Center in West Palm Beach.
In addition to these exciting events, there are also several festive activities you can enjoy all through December. At Hoffman’s Winter Wonderland in Lake Worth, you can enjoy some tasty treats while browsing through beautiful holiday displays, enjoying live entertainment and ice skating on the brand new outdoor, 2,400 square foot rink. If you’re longing for a white Christmas, CityPlace offers nightly snowfalls on the plaza all month long. Finally, for a true South Florida style holiday, make your way to West Palm Beach’s Holiday in Paradise at Sandi Land. In addition to admiring the 600-ton sand tree, you’ll also be able to enjoy nightly light shows and holiday music.
