New Year's Events at Old Palm and in the Palm Beaches

December 14, 2018

New Year's Eve is a time to reflect on this past year and look forward to the good things the year ahead will bring. Living in the Palm Beaches, there are plenty of events offered to join in the celebration. Here is what is taking place at Old Palm and a few suggestions of events that are happening in and around our community to kick off 2019 the right way.

Exclusive Old Palm New Year’s Festivities

Old Palm Golf Club is hosting two extravagant events on New Year’s Eve.  For those who prefer to ring in the New Year from the comfort of their home, the “It’s Midnight Somewhere” sit down dinner begins at 6:00 p.m. and ends with a champagne toast at 8:00 p.m. You’ll be home by 8:30 p.m. at the latest! The seating is limited, so act quickly and RSVP by calling 561-472-5100.

Old Palm members who want to dance the night away are invited to attend the “It’s All About The Party” celebration this New Year’s Eve from 8:30 p.m. until 12:30 a.m. Located on the lower lawn in a spacious tent with cocktail seating, Old Palm members can celebrate with tapas-style food stations, live music from The Royals band, an amusing photo booth, and the opportunity to dance and dine all night! New Year’s Eve will come to a close after watching the New York Times Square ball drop and a champagne toast. If you would like to be a part of this wonderful event all about Old Palm camaraderie, call 561-472-5100 and reserve a seat.

These two festivities will be followed up with an exquisite brunch on the morning of the 1st from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Please call (561) 472-5100 now; reservations are running out!

There is no shortage of exciting events happening in the Palm Beaches to celebrate New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. Old Palm Golf Club’s perfect location allows you to take delight in all that South Florida has to offer.

New Year's Eve Fantasy Ball in the Ponce de Leon Ballroom

On December 31st from 7:30 p.m. until 1:00 a.m., The Breakers will be hosting a New Year's Eve gala fit for royalty. This spectacular, black-tie celebration will be held in the Ponce de Leon Ballroom, embellished with sparkling chandeliers and picturesque festive decor. Attendees will take delight in a gourmet meal, starting with hot and cold hors d'oeuvres and a delectable raw bar, followed by a mouthwatering four-course dinner and wine pairings. Savor flavorful cocktails and spirits at the open bar while enjoying the live entertainment. An extremely popular aspect of the night is the breakfast buffet offered to all patrons once the clock strikes midnight! Tickets are $600 per person for club members and $700 per person for outside guests.

City Place Countdown and Concert

Located in downtown West Palm Beach, City Place is offering a host of holiday festivities, lavish dining, and live entertainment! Enjoy the beauty of snow without the frigid temperatures during the last day of the annual Snowfall on the Square from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on New Year’s Eve. Shortly after, the live entertainment will begin at 7:30 p.m. and go until 12:30 a.m., featuring interactive dance performances and artist demonstrations. Top the night off (quite literally) with the $3.00 champagne toast at midnight!

"Noon Year's Eve" at the Palm Beach Zoo and South Florida Science Center and Aquarium

The Palm Beach Zoo & Conversation Society is hosting their 7th annual Noon Year's Eve Countdown and Ball Drop from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 pm. Kid-friendly festivities at the zoo include a dance party at the Fountain Plaza, awesome face painting, and a special "sparkling" gummy bear toast while counting down to noon!

The South Florida Science Center and Aquarium is also holding a Noon Year's Eve from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. The Science Center is giving children the opportunity to experience live science demos, lighthearted music and dancing, create a DIY confetti launcher, and more! When it is close to noon, attendees are able to toast to the New Year with dry ice apple cider. Located only 10 minutes away from the Palm Beach Zoo, families are able to experience both of these events if they please.
