It's common knowledge that Old Palm Golf Club is renowned for its lavish lifestyle, award-winning Raymond-Floyd golf course, and stunning residences. Not to be overlooked is the exceptional service that Old Palm's staff provides both residences and guests alike. We would like to formally congratulate Jason Soule, Mark Hackett, and Darlene Impellittiere on their most recent accomplishments.
Jason Soule, CEC
Jason Soule, Old Palm's outstanding Executive Chef, recently received the prestigious Certified Executive Chef (CEC) certification, awarded by the American Culinary Federation. The CEC award is designed to recognize outstanding chefs who have demonstrated exceptional culinary proficiency in education, experience, knowledge, and skills that reflect an executive chef.
In order for Soule to have been awarded the Executive Chef certification, he had to pass a detailed written exam including advanced cooking, safety and sanitation, nutrition, finance and operations management, and leadership. Furthermore, he needed to pass an additional practical exam preparing an extravagant three-course meal for four expert culinary evaluators.
The American Culinary Federation is the largest and most distinguished professional organization for chefs in North America. Based on promoting the education of the culinary community at all levels, the ACF has forever changed the professional image of American chefs worldwide. The ACF offers the most comprehensive certification program for chefs in the United States and provides educational resources, training, apprenticeships, and programmatic accreditation.
Mark Hackett, Top 100 Golf Teacher
Director of Instruction
Continuing his recognition since 2007, Mark Hackett, Director of Golf Instruction, once again made the Golf Magazine's Top 100 Teachers in America for 2019. Assessed biennially by the Top 100 Teacher Credentials Committee, this prestigious recognition is the only national golf instructor talent search that is a combination of both outside academic and PGA peer review.
Each instructor is assessed on 15 intensive criteria, including teaching experience and accomplishments, student portfolio and peer ratings, overall commitment to the growth of the game, volunteerism, and ability to use digital platforms. Not only are candidates nominated via a public application, but also by the PGA, LPGA, and the United States Golf Teachers Federation.\
Darlene Impellittiere, CCM
General Manager and Membership Director
Darlene Impellittiere, Old Palm's beloved General Manager and Membership Director, has been accredited with the Certified Club Managers (CCM) designation by the Club Management Association of America (CMAA). The CCM Certification Program encourages the education and advancement of its members as well as assists Club Officers and members in securing the most efficient and successful club operations.
This extremely coveted title is awarded by the CMAA, a professional association for managers of membership clubs comprised of 7,000 members worldwide. Additionally, it acknowledges that a club manager has completed an extensive study and training course, showing proficiency and expertise in club management. The CCM award is truly a hallmark of professionalism and a widely respected mark of a manager's professional commitment to development and dedication to club industry.
Darlene worked tirelessly for four years to complete CCM requirements, such as specified education provisions, proficiency in four Business Management Institute curriculums, attendance of at least one World Conference on Club Management, and continuous involvement within her local Chapter. Only after these requirements were met was Darlene able to take the final Certified Club Managers Exam. The 7 hour, 400 question assessment evaluates a manager's understanding and proficiency in leadership, club governance, membership marketing, golf operations, golf maintenance, club finance, spa and fitness, food and beverage, and facilities management.
It is with great honor that we share the wonderful professional accomplishments that our staff members have earned, each reaching the top in their respective fields. Continuing Old Palm's tradition of a Life Well Lived, our employees strive to set the highest standards for our community, allowing it to remain as one of the most luxurious and exclusive golf club neighborhoods in the Palm Beaches.
