Sneak Preview of Old Palm's Upcoming Club Events This Fall

Old Palm Golf Club is hosting an array of exciting events this upcoming fall season. Whether you are living in the Palm Beaches year-round or just coming back, check out the incredible opportunities exclusively available to members of our private golf club community.



Opening Weekend Dinner Dance: 

On Saturday, November 2nd, Old Palm is hosting their luxurious Opening Weekend Dinner Dance to welcome back both new and old members. Starting at 6:30 p.m., residents are invited to enjoy delicious cocktails and flavorful hors d'oeuvres, followed by a sumptuous dinner at 8:00 p.m. Throughout the night, members will appreciate performances by Pam and Dave while enjoying world-class cuisine and an elegant ambiance only found at Old Palm. Ladies should dress in cocktail attire and men are required to wear jackets. Please email Darlene.Impellittiere@oldpalmgolfclub.com to RSVP and reserve tickets to this must-attend event. 


Golf Tournament:

From November 2nd - 3rd, Old Palm is hosting a golf tournament for members at their highly-esteemed Raymond Floyd golf course. Players have the option to play either one or both days of this scramble-style match. Breakfast will be available on Saturday and Sunday at 7:30 a.m. as shotgun is at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday and 11:00 a.m. on Sunday. This year, the new format follows “net scramble”, with separate lady and gentleman divisions. If interested, please contact the Old Palm pro-shop to sign up. 


New Member Cocktail: 

On Wednesday, November 6th, Old Palm will be honoring all-new members at 6:30 p.m.! Fill your night with cocktails and conversation to get to know your new neighbors. Residents are encouraged to wear club casual attire and asked to RSVP by emailing Darlene.Impellittiere@oldpalmgolfclub.com or calling 561-472-5100.  


Ladies Book Club: 

Held in the ladies’ lounge, female members of Old Palm are invited to join the Ladies Book Club on November 13th at 4:00 p.m. The November featured book is News of The World, by Paulette Jiles, a fictional tale that explores the intricate relationship between Captain Jefferson Kyle Kidd and young native captive Johanna during the aftermath of the Civil War. 


Nine and Nine: 

On Sunday, November 17th, members are invited to play nine holes of golf starting at 3:00 p.m., followed by a special dinner and awards. Guests are encouraged to attend and experience Old Palm's Life, Well Lived. Please sign-up in the golf pro-shop. 


Thanksgiving Dinner Buffet, Turkey Trot, and Junior Trot: 

From 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on November 28th, a Thanksgiving Dinner Buffet will be open to members of the Club. Reservations will open on October 1st, as seating times are limited. This festive feast is strictly dinner; however, a take-out menu will be available upon request. Gentlemen are required to wear long pants and collared shirts. Also on November 28th is the 18-hole golf scramble Turkey Trot, beginning at 9:00 a.m. This fun event is open to all members and guests. Additionally, young golf enthusiasts are invited to participate in a 6-hole golf studio scramble, also open to all members and guests. 


OP Kids Night:

Catering to the youngsters, Old Palm is hosting a Kids Night on Saturday, November 30th. An array of exciting activities will start at 5:00 p.m. The night will finish with a casual dinner buffet at 6:00 p.m.



Gentlemen's Book Club: 

Gentleman's Book Club will be held in the Clubhouse Board Room on December 4th at 4:00 p.m. Readers will dive into the intricate plot of Citizen's of London by Lynne Olson - a daring novel exploring the United States' alliance with Britain during the War. 


Ladies and Gentlemen's Palm Club: 

On Saturday and Sunday, December 7th - 8th, a two-person team golf tournament will be held at Old Palm's spectacular golf course. Starting with a hearty breakfast at 7:30 a.m., the competition will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday. After the rounds, players are invited to enjoy hors d'oeuvres during the award ceremony. Spouses and significant others are welcome. 


Gentlemen's Guest Day:

After lunch at 11:30 a.m., gentlemen are invited to participate in an exciting game of golf starting at 1:00 p.m. The format of the tournament is a “two best balls of four” format along with a money ball challenge. After finishing the round, hors d'oeuvres will be served during the awards. Members are allowed to bring up to three guests. 


Ladies' Guest Day: 

Beginning with lunch at 11:00 a.m. on December 12th, Ladies' Guest Day offers female golfers the opportunity to invite a guest to play in an 18-hole match. The game begins at 12:30 p.m. and will follow a "two best balls of four" format. Professional staff members are available to pair with upon request. Members are permitted to bring from up to three guests.


Gingerbread and Tea Party: 

On Saturday, December 14th from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., Old Palm families are invited to decorate gingerbread men and houses! Please RSVP by emailing Darlene.Impellittiere@oldpalmgolfclub.com by December 12th. 


Breakfast with Santa: 

This year, Old Palm is hosting a breakfast with Santa! Santa Clause will be available to take pictures during the magical event, held on December 15th, from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. 


Nine and Dine: 

Old Palm's Nine and Dine golfing event is also being held on December 15th, with a 3:00 p.m. shotgun start. Members enjoy nine holes of golf with dinner and awards after. Guests are encouraged to join! Please sign-up in the golf pro shop if interested in attending. 


Winter Break Junior Golf Camp: 

On Friday, December 20th, and Friday, December 27th, young golfers of all skill levels are able to attend the Junior Golf Camp Clinic. Between 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m., junior members will receive the highest-caliber instruction while enjoying games and activities! 


Hanukkah Dinner: 

All members and guests are welcome to join a family-style dinner in celebration of Hanukkah on Sunday, December 22nd from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Gentlemen are required to wear long pants and collared shirts. 


Adult Children Pub Night and Tequila Tasting:

On Monday, December 23rd, members are invited to participate in a pub night and a tequila tasting from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.! Guests are kindly asked that denim be worn in good taste. Christmas Eve Dinner: 

Members can start the holiday season off with Old Palm's annual Christmas Eve dinner from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on December 24th. Enjoy live Christmas carols from the Yuletide Carolers along with elegant cuisine and majestic Christmas decor. Reservations are accepted beginning November 4th as limited seating times are available. Gentlemen are required to wear jackets. 



Old Palm is hosting a game of footgolf, a combination of soccer and golf on a modified course, for children 15 years old and younger on December 26th. After the match, drinks and snacks will be provided. 


Adult/Child Golf Tournament: 

On Friday, December 27th, an adult/child golf tournament will be held for members of Old Palm. There will be three divisions offered: the 18-hole division beginning at 1:30 p.m., the 9-hole division at 3:00 p.m., and the 3-hole division at 4:00 p.m. The 18-hole and 9-hole division will be a “modified chapman alternate shot” format, while the 3-hole event will be a scramble. 


OP Kids Night:

From 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., children are invited to participate in an array of fun activities starting at 5:00 p.m., closely followed by a casual dinner buffet at 6:00 p.m. 


New Year's Eve Dinner: 

Members can finish 2019 in style at this year's New Year’s Dinner held at the Clubhouse from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Cocktails will be served in the Courtyard at 6:00 p.m. followed by a choice dinner and dessert in the Clubhouse until 9:00 p.m. Watch the ball drop and indulge in novel cocktails after dinner.
