Masters champ Schwartzel prepared for win at Old Palm Golf Club Old Palm Golf Club’s membership was thrilled to cheer for three of their own during one of golf’s biggest competitions, the Masters, which was won by South African golfer Charl Schwartzel, who is living and practicing at the Palm Beach Gardens private community It was a dramatic final day – with several players in the running for the title. But Schwartzel kept his nerve to finish two shots ahead of his nearest rival. It’s the 26-year-old’s first major win. Northern Ireland’s Rory Mcllroy, who was also residing and practicing at the club’s private golf studio and course, led for most of the tournament.
