Old Palm Golf Club opens the new year with four new model homes in the Golf Estates neighborhood
January 13, 2012

The Palm Beach Post- January 13, 2012- This year is sure to be every bit as exciting as 2011 at Old Palm Golf Club, maybe even more so. Thatâs quite a statement because last year Old Palm shattered its sales record, and opened several new model homes, further establishing its position as the only private Club community in the Palm Beaches with new homes and new furnished models The momentum continues to snowball in 2012, as four new model homes are opening in Old Palmâs Golf Estates neighborhood in January alone, two built by Mustapick Estate Homes, the other two built by Courchene Development Corporation. While each home is magnificent in its own way, they all offer the amenities luxury homebuyers want most. The features can be as indulgent as a spacious sitting area in the Master Bedroom that opens onto the heated swimming pool or as pragmatic…

Four new models opening this month
January 12, 2012

This year is sure to be every bit as exciting as 2011 at Old Palm Golf Club, as four new model homes are opening in Old Palmâs Golf Estates neighborhood in January alone. Two models were built by Courchene Development Corporation; the other two by Mustapick Estate Homes. While each home is magnificent in its own way, they all offer the amenities luxury homebuyers want most, including high ceilings, beautiful woodwork, light interiors, spacious Master Suites, top-of-the-line appliances, and impact-resistant windows and doors Although similar in price, ranging from $1,535,000 to $1,815,000, the homes offer the buyer plenty of choices. Old Palm Golf Club shatters area sales in 2011, and this year looks to be even stronger
January 10, 2012

Home sales at Old Palm were spectacular last year with more than $50 million in luxury properties sold; two of them in the last two weeks of December alone. Perhaps most flattering of all, six of the buyers were existing homeowners who wanted to build larger homes here, confirming that Old Palm is definitely the perfect private Club community for them The momentum has continued right into 2012, as an unparalleled number of potential members are touring Old Palm all the time. Theyâre coming from other luxury communities in and around Palm Beach County and from out of state, often from the Northeast. Many of them are looking to buy more expansive homes on larger lots While thereâs no single reason why interest is escalating, the opening of several new model homes in our Grand Estates and Golf Estates neighborhoods has certainly helped to fuel the excitement. Luxury…

January 09, 2012

Chipping is simply an extension of the putting stroke, and the rhythm, balance and pace of the motion you develop in a chip shot will carry over into the full shots. Itâs essential for golfers to be skilled chippers because so many shots each round are around the green. You donât need great strength to negotiate the chip shot, you just need to master some basic movements and then practice The basics of the chip shot are ⢠Less air time, more ground time ⢠Trajectory is low and running ⢠One lever stroke that takes the wrist out of the stroke, allowing your arms to swing freely from your shoulders ⢠Always land the ball on the putting surface for the truest roll Hereâs the technique for a successful chip shot: ⢠Choose the club that will allow you to carry…

Old Palm’s roots go back to billionaire John D. MacArthur
January 06, 2012

Like much of Palm Beach County, the land thatâs now Old Palm Golf Club was once owned by the late insurance magnate and philanthropist John D. MacArthur. At the time of his death in January 1978, MacArthur was one of the three wealthiest men in America. His wife, Catherine, kept the company books and was intimately involved in her husbandâs businesses Together, they founded the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation, an institution dedicated to âbuilding a more just, verdant and peaceful world.â The foundation eventually sold thousands of acres to developers in Palm Beach Gardens and to the city itself. Old Palm rests on the last large parcel of land, which had always been kept in a pristine state, as MacArthur was passionate about preserving the natural beauty of Florida He surely would have loved Old Palm Golf Club, which has earned the Audubon Societyâ…
